Yesterday evening (June 28, 2015), I celebrated my brother’s birthday with my Bro & Dad at Marco Pierre White Courtyard Bar & Grill in Donnybrook. I had won a prize from The Taste to wine & dine at this restaurant and availed of it yesterday, which included a three-course À La Carte meal and choice bottle of wine. The restaurant menus give such a variety of food, especially between the À La Carte and Early Bird menus. Myself and my Dad ordered from the À La Carte, whereas my brother ordered from the Early Bird and I chose the rosé wine for the table. The food was extremely delicious, I absolutely adored my starter; it was light, plentiful but still not too filling. My main course was big, so big that I ate my burger avec knife & fork and shared some with my brother. The frites were perfectly seasoned and the cold pickled cucumbers were delightful. Our desserts were quite the sight, they looked too delicious to eat – but of course we devoured & shared them! I had quietly asked for a something special for my brother’s dessert, and the waiter did not disappoint lighting a candle in my brother’s Lemon Posset before the staff all wished him a happy birthday! Both my Dad and Bro were very happy with their meals. Brilliant service and extremely attentive staff, delicious food, highly recommend it!
